Reservations Policy

We will do our utmost to offer you a fantastic experience. Please take a moment to read our policy before making a reservation.

When booking online, please specify your preferred seating area (Main Restaurant, Brasserie, or Terrace). If your preferred option is unavailable online, please do not hesitate to call us directly.

1. We accept reservations for a maximum of 8 guests. Please note that tables accommodating 8 people are limited in availability.

2. Please refrain from bringing party materials such as balloons or decorations. If you are enquiring about the Private Dining Room, please contact us directly for its specific terms and conditions.

3. CHILDREN POLICY
Monday to Saturday: In the interest of all our guests, children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the Main Restaurant. Limited availability may be offered in the Brasserie or on the Terrace for children aged 5 and above. High chairs are not available Monday to Saturday, and buggies, prams, and similar items are not permitted at any time. Sundays: We welcome younger children on Sundays, and a limited number of high chairs are available. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require one to avoid disappointment. Please note that we are unable to accommodate babies, and due to limited space, buggies are not permitted inside the restaurant at any time.

4. We kindly ask that guests pay by card.

5. Dogs are not permitted in the Restaurant, Brasserie, or on the Terrace, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.

6. A designated smoking and vaping area is available at the side of the building. We ask that guests refrain from smoking or vaping in front of the restaurant.

7. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine, subject to a maximum of 2 bottles (75cl per bottle) per reservation. A corkage charge of £35 per bottle applies. Please note that this applies to wine only; other beverages may not be brought onto the premises.

8. Chapter One Restaurant Ltd. accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to any items left in its care or in the possession of a guest, unless such loss or damage is due to the negligence of Chapter One Restaurant Ltd.

9. Guests may request a specific table; however, we are unable to guarantee table allocation and reserve the right to make changes when required.

10. Our menus are subject to change at short notice. Menus displayed on our website are for guidance only. We apologise if, on rare occasions, a particular dish or menu item is unavailable.

11. In the event that a booking is not honoured in whole or in part, including a reduction in guest numbers, or is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of £20 per person will be charged to the card provided, or any pre-paid deposit will not be refunded. Please note that certain areas of the restaurant, including the semi-private room on the terrace and the function room, are subject to different booking terms and conditions. 12. A discretionary service charge of 7.5% will be added to your final bill. By law (Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023), 100% of the service charge is shared fairly amongst all staff.
