This highly anticipated, sold-out event was held in aid of the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation, a vital charity dedicated to supporting those living with paralysis caused by spinal cord injuries.
Guests were treated to a sensational seven-course tasting menu, masterfully showcasing exceptional seasonal produce. The evening began with Stephen Harris’ delicate amuse-bouche of poached Whitstable Rock oyster, followed by Daniel Hatton’s roasted saddle of wild rabbit. Graham Garrett expertly oversaw the fish course, presenting a warm escabeche of wild sea bass. For the main event, Andrew McLeish prepared a beautiful roasted saddle of Chart Farm Sika venison, before Tim Johnson concluded the spectacular meal with a warm Breach Farm Bramley apple charlotte.
Reflecting on the evening, Chef Patron Andrew McLeish remarked: ‘The event was a phenomenal success. It was a privilege to welcome such esteemed culinary talent into the kitchen. We had a brilliant time and the food was outstanding, but most importantly, we raised a substantial amount for a truly worthy cause. We have already discussed hosting a similar event in the future, so watch this space.
